One of the most satisfying pleasures that can come to a person is to know that your progeny is busy carrying on a legacy you started. That’s why this album is so meaningful to me. It contains the work of our grandson, Ryan Smith, working with his old grandad to produce an album featuring traditional music along with some coming from his pen and mine. It also features some of the instrumental work of Ryan which warms the heart of his grandmother and me. All of the credit for the compilation of what you hear on this CD goes to him. He researched our music files, our album master and chose all the numbers you hear. A special source of pride for me is the final track on this CD. "C’mon Train" combines the lyrics of Ryan and my melody and instrumental work. He jotted down the words while returning to his home in Dallas from a visit with grandad and grandmother.
